Position summary Role Purpose: The Security Officer maintains a safe, secure environment for employees, patients, and visitors by patrolling and monitoring premises. Responsibilities: Secures premises by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipments, and inspecting buildings, equipment and access points on a regular basis. Prevents losses and damages by informing individuals of appropriate policies and procedures. Complies with all applicable regulations. Surveys and tests alarm systems as needed. Appropriately responds to emergencies in a timely manner. Conducts inspections as needed. Completes reports by accurately recording observations, details, occurrences, and surveillance activities and obtains appropriate signatures in a timely manner.
