Position details Seeking highly qualified Buyer for a premier, quick paced, culture driven manufacturing facility in Louisville, KY. A qualified buyer will be joining a growing team with promotional opportunities to advance within the company. This position is responsible for all planning and sourcing activities required to assure continuity of supply for their assigned materials. Activities include sourcing, request for proposals/quotes, analyzing costs and the expertise to write a price and/or cost analysis, lead negotiations, and place compliant purchase orders according to internal procedures. Necessary skills: Min 2yrs purchasing experience, preferably in a Lean Manufacturing environment. Expertise to prioritize tasks without direct supervision of the daily workload in order to achieve goals and objectives. Expertise to judge value, importance, and quality to make appropriate directional decisions is a must.
