T he Hennepin Healthcare Research Institute (HHRI) has a current opening for an experienced Scientific Writer/Publications Specialist to support the research of Dr. Uzma Samadani, MD, PhD, in the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Laboratory at Hennepin Healthcare's HCMC. JOB OVERVIEW: Support the production of research reports and journal article submissions, to include work on content development, layouts, figures/tables, and data files; writing/editing and data validation; and responsibility for reference sections. Support manuscript and grant proposal production, to include work on figures/tables and references and (for manuscripts) journal submission and records maintenance. Create and/or edit slides and posters for professional conferences. Provide academic writing support to volunteers, research assistants and scientists. Miscellaneous other tasks. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: For Manuscripts Conduct literature reviews for potential laboratory journal article submissions.
