Supplier Quality Engineer - (Hauppauge, NY)

Job Description Supplier Quality Engineer, responsible for monitoring and improving supplier quality and process performances by working with suppliers on quality and process improvements. Job description: Work with suppliers to implement SPC and PFMEAs and drive projects to improve Supplier Quality Management System using lean 6 sigma ie: PPAP, RCCA, MRB, FAIR, risk management, etc. Facilitate and perform on-site visits for root cause analysis, implement and verify corrective actions of supplier quality issues including system audits, corrective and preventive action resolution and continuous improvement actions. Develop new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities. Work with incoming inspection, suppliers and purchasing to disposition non-conforming product. Publish and analyze metrics. QUALIFICATIONS Approx 25% travel Bachelors of Science required. Knowledge of ISO 9000, AS9100, PFMEAs, PVAs and SPC.
