Assist the crew foreman to ensure that work is being performed on time and grade specifications in construction, such as highways, streets, airports, dikes, and temporary roads. Responsibilities: Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all federal, state, local and company safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task. Operates grader safely in successive passes over working area, observing grade stakes or hand signals of assisting workers Cut dirt or stone to specified grade Rough grading includes highway or site shoulders, slopes and ditches Ability to fine grade and cut blue tops at a productive pace Knowledge of plans and grades
