Column Engineering is assisting a premier client in a search for a Sr. Embedded Software Engineer in Loves Park, IL. This is a direct hire opportunity. Responsibilities Prepare designs, specifications, analysis and recommendations for development of new products. Maintain records pertinent to each project in the form of time, project key point statements, project and work tracking reports, design journals, sketches, drawings, etc. Gather necessary input and influence high-level product design decisions and make software system architecture decisions. Involve and influence teams to carry out the chosen solutions. Lead discussions on technical topics. Render technical advice and assistance to other product development personnel as to designs, specifications, info sources and testing procedures. Oversee the operations involved in the development and testing of prototype products.
