Job summary The HSE Specialist supervises the HSE and security programs for the VME Tyler facilities. It also is responsible for HSE related regulatory compliance. Serves as a liaison between plant, corporate office and regulatory agencies. Critical functions: Responsible for formulating, affecting, interpreting and implementing HSE policies, procedures and best practices Responsible for maintaining company OHS Management System Facilitate internal audits of OHS Management System Determines “Safe Work Practices” and has complete “Stop Work” authority at VME-Tyler Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness and improve safe work practices by exercising discretion and using independent judgment Ensure compliance with government
