Position overview We are currently searching for a veterinary technician or background veterinary assistant for our friendly, small animal veterinary hospital in Maryville, TN. We are a close-knit team and are looking for someone who enjoys a challenging, fast-paced working environment focused on fostering client relationships and providing exceptional patient care. The perfect applicant is upbeat with a strong work ethic and enjoys interacting with people as well as pets. Day-to-day duties include care of boarding and hospitalized patients, assisting veterinarians during appointments and hospital care, gathering patient histories and communicating warmly and effectively with clients. The job is rewarding but hard work and employees are required to be on their feet all day, frequently lifting up to 50 pounds. The position available is full-time. Candidates need to be able to provide their own transportation, work adjustable hours, and be available on weekends and holidays.
