Therapeutic Recreation Specialist - (Greene, NY)

Job summary The Therapeutic Recreation Specialist III is responsible for planning, organizing and implementing recreational activities for an assigned program or campus, as well as responsibility for recreation center supervision, risk management and safety. The person in this role must perform all job responsibilities with independence, must have the expertise to organize and deliver more complex training, is depended upon for resolution of more complex problems/issues, may perform supervisory functions, and serves as a role model for Therapeutic Recreation Specialist I staff. Job duties include, but are not limited to: Provides supervision of recreation center facilities including gym, pool, playground or other play areas to maintain an environment that is safe and secure. Provides supervision of agency youth to monitor safety and quality of youth participation.
