Position overview DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following required functions. These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform. • Develop and maintain NGS algorithms, analytical mechanisms, and modules of bioinformatics pipelines, while improving speed, accuracy, and automation. •Prepares time lines, project plans and flow charts for the development or enhancement of new and existing genomics applications. •Partners with the scientific team to optimize and validate new analytical tools and processes •Provides recommendations regarding configuration, design, usability and maintainability for applications, interfaces and other dependencies that integrate with platforms. •Gathers, analyzes and documents complex clinical and user requirements, functional requirements and data specifications. Designs, writes and documents technical specifications to design or redesign complex applications.
