OverviewThe assistant teacher will support our program and lead teachers by overseeing the general welfare, health and safety of all the children in the classroom.ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions include but are not limited to:StaffTo implement and adhere to all written policies and philosophies of Rainbow Child--Care CentersArrange for substitute teachers in the event of an absenceAttend monthly staff meetingsAssist other teachers in the classroom whenever necessaryTreat all staff members professionally and fairlyCurriculumKnow, understand and implement the Rainbow Child--Care Center curriculumGather daily observation notes, on every child who spends time in your classroomMaintain an average of twenty observation notes per child per Audit (5 week period) unless otherwise specified for part time enrolleesComplete Assessments on each child at the end of the semesterDiscuss and review Assessments with parents at parent teacher conferencesComplete required daily and weekly formsPrepare neat and accurate forms
