Clinical Laboratory Scientist Supervisor ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision of the Laboratory Manager, the primary duties are to coordinate and supervise all activities in the Bacteriology, Mycobacteriology, Mycology and Parasitology sections of the Brentwood Annex. This includes all pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical processes. The Sr. Supervisor serves as a core member of the management team, along with the Manager to provide oversight for operations. Assignments include direct supervision of staff and the daily operational activities. Provides 24/7 on call coverage. Responsible to develop and maintain policies and procedures, oversee training and competency assessments, perform performance evaluations, liaison with clinical staff to evaluate, respond to, and resolve issues, initiate corrective action and educate clinical staff. The Sr. Supervisor is responsible for the coordination of Microbiology Testing between WW, SMH, BURL and UCLA Clinics.
