Machine Design Engineer - (Holland, MI)

Position overview Looking for a Mechanical Machine Designer for a reputable and growing company in the Holland, MI area. The main focus of this role will be to create new and improve existing machinery designs. This Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for concepting and designing custom automation equipment using Solidworks. Responsibilities: Create, design and layout special machines utilizing engineering principles, knowledge and related experience. Conceptualize designs and select materials. Create models and detailed drawings using Solidworks software. Size mechanical equipment such as pumps, gears, pulleys, sheet metal, bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics and piping. Provide machine assembly and troubleshooting support. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred. Machine design background, preferably tooling, fixtures, automation and material handling.
