Job overview Quality Assurance Technician (Relief) - must be available to work all shifts and this position will be covering various shifts. Client in the Visalia/Tulare area is searching for Quality Assurance Tech to join their team. Summary: Quality Assurance Technician with 3-5yrs of recent background in a food processing setting with a Bachelors in Dairy Science, Food Science or Microbiology or Chemistry. QA Tech will be assisting the department with quality audits, swabbing, coli form plating, antibiotic testing, and other lab functions. Must have a degree, must be open to working rotating shifts since this position will be covering leaves, vacations, etc. Required functions Perform weekly tasks which include environmental swabbing airplates, thermometer calibration, and others. Perform noon and midnight inventory of fluid silos. Monitor wastewater, pH, EC, and COD. Micro plating, WPN, antibiotic confirmation testing, and TA testing. Daily send outs to DA and Sierra for testing.
