Proofreader/Editor - (Sparks Glencoe, MD)

Job summary Position title: Proofreader/Editor Location: Sparks, MD Contract Term: 6 mnths Weekly 40.00 Hours [Mon - Fri] Description: Shift Hours 8:30 am - 5:00 pm with some flexibility. Typically requires an Associate’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Science or a related position with a min of 2 yrs’ background in proofreading, editing or copywriting; or equivalent combination of related education and background. Requirement - In addition, publishing software background. Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, MadCap, Framemaker. Editor/Proofreader is responsible for proofing all labeling generated by Label Design and Development (e.g., product labels, package inserts, user's manuals, release notes and on-line help). The Editor/Proofreader supports Labeling Specialists, Technical Writers, Desktop Publishers, and the Translation team by ensuring all labeling meets Regulatory/Corporate/Global qualifications and departmental style guides.
