Machine Shop Operator - (Benton Harbor, MI)

Position description Our client, a global manufacturing leader, has immediate openings for a Machine Shop Operator based in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Our perfect candidate will be working with experienced operators/supervisors in a manufacturing environment. General activities include running and maintaining various machines used in the manufacture of associated products for the steel and foundry industry. Applicant will also train/participate in various manufacturing activities. RESPONSIBILITIES: Lathe machine Saw mill for cutting steel pipes, squares Spiral helix machine for making ducts Pipe bending machine Bridgeport horizontal mill Pipe threader Bickford press Plasma cutter Previous background with MIG/TIG welding is desirable Understanding of blueprints/drawings a plus QUALIFICATIONS: High-school certificate or GED Basic math skills Operation of overhead crane Previous lift truck license/background Be verified drug free Capable and willing to perform manual labor activities Be able to lift 50lbs.
