Mortgage Underwriter - (Schaumburg, IL)

Position description Chicago's premier mortgage company, Key Mortgage Services, Inc., is currently conducting a search to fill the position of Mortgage DE Underwriter position at our Schaumburg location. This role analyzes loan transactions and documentation to determine credit quality and conformance with mortgage secondary market standards. Reviews investor programs and guidelines to provide operating guidelines for successful origination and sale of loans. Essential duties include but are not limited to the following: Review and evaluate real estate appraisals and underwrites mortgage loans on a daily basis. Analyze the credit, income, and personal assets of loan candidates. Underwrite conventional, FHA, and VA 1st mortgages as well as 2nd mortgages and HELOCs in conformance with investor qualifications, as well as the company's policies and procedures. Review condo, PUD, and coop projects for conformance to investor qualifications. Provide support to processors and loan officers in structuring deals.
