McCoy s Paralegal, based in San Marcos, Texas, will have the responsibility to assist in-house counsel in their course of work by conducting legal research, investigating, and gathering evidence in ongoing or potential legal matters of the company.May have responsibilities associated with the employment practices and risk management areas of the company. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND Assignments include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assist in-house counsel attorney in their review and preparation of contracts and other legal documents Prepare draft agreements, memoranda, letters, affidavits, resolutions and other legal documents File court briefs and pleadings with county, district and federal court clerks Review, redact, and compile documents in response to 3rd-party record requests Provide expert and strategic legal advice to management Manage various projects and deadlines Research unique legal issues impacting the organization by identifying applicable statutes, judicial decisions
