Packer-Inspector - (Kilgore, TX)

Position overview Description: Packer- Inspector Duties: Check the product for seal strength size scoring lip print quality/location and other as specified on job specification no less than 4 times an hour and at every roll change. Make minor machine adjustments such as resetting the eye putting flip back in raise and clean seal bar and clear jams from the machine. Make up cartons as needed. Observe rolls for splices and changes. Record accurate production records including count down time scrap number of rolls run and complete dockets. Maintain a clean and neat work station at all times in accordance with American Institute of Baking requirements. Perform other general housekeeping duties as assigned. Retain and label samples as required. Pack product neatly and label properly. Make headers and/or saddle seals on product. Observe Company work rules and safety regulations. Operate punch press. Apply inspection stamp to all cartons of product. Move packed boxes (10-40 pounds.) to pallets.
