HORTICULTURIST II PARKS & RECREATION DEPARTMENT STARTING SALARY: $18.35 TO $26.23 PER HOUR DOQ RESPONSIBILITIESAssigned to Landscape/Forestry division, this position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks in the provision for municipal properties and right of way landscape, tree, and turf maintenance. Maintenance activities include inventory- tree data collection; tree health inspections; planting, staking, watering and pruning trees and shrubs; injecting and handling pesticides for tree related pest treatments. Lead person for city crews and contract workers to plant new trees in right of way locations and new subdivisions. The Horticulturist II frequently supervises temporary workers in semi-skilled tasks within the department. Other duties as assigned.
