Position description SUMMARY This position develops, implements, and supports production processes related to the manufacturing of gears utilized in automotive transmissions. This position will focus on all aspects of gear manufacturing including hobbing, chamfering, gear grinding, as well as inline measurement. In this position you will collaborate together with all related departments to support the company's objectives within a team based hands on environment. RESPONSIBILITIES Support, develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods. Evaluate equipment & processes to eliminate failures and to increase productivity. Design and analyze workflow, work force utilization, space qualifications, and layout of equipment for max efficiency. Develop and maintain NC cutting programs for various processing equipment. Specifies, analyze, and source all cutting tools required for manufacturing. Creates and maintains highly detailed manufacturing documentation. Participate in cost reduction activities.
