Job summary The Spencer Turbine Company and Walker Magnetics are leading U.S. manufacturers of air and gas handling equipment and magnetic lifting, work holding and separation systems. Our products are used in global industrial, municipal, commercial and institutional applications. The head office and manufacturing facility is based in Windsor, CT. Position: Spencer is hiring a full time CAD Specialist. The CAD Specialist works closely with Sales, Engineering, and Production to assure product costs are accurate and design meets all applicable standards. Responsibilities Perform a wide variety of complex layout, design, redesign, detail and other drafting duties. Operate independently to design new structurally sound components or work from sketches, specifications, plans and layouts to make all required designs, layouts and detailed drawings. Provide assistance to other departments in interpreting drawings and resolving questions or problems. Detail drafting to Global Standards.
