Position description MAINTENANCE MECHANIC – first Shift This position is responsible for maintaining plant manufacturing equipment to meet Quality and Production goals in the safest most efficient manner possible JOB ASSIGNMENTS Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance and repair requirements on all types of equipment to include the maintenance of sewing machines Maintain current knowledge of all machinery to be able to recommend improvements or modifications of machinery that would increase productivity and/or reduce costs Maintain a clean and organized workplace atmosphere Sustain proper and accurate inventory of tools and all replacement parts for all equipment used by the production facility Assist maintenance team and supports all aspects of the maintenance department as needed, including general building and grounds maintenance Take initiative and participate actively in problem analysis
