Helper - (Tyler, TX)

Job summary A helper at VME is responsible for helping a fabricator or welder with grinding, sweeping, lifting, cleaning and setting up materials to be weld together. Critical functions Follow all work instructions given by the Production Supervisor and/or QC Inspector Assist with activities including, but not limited to, loading and unloading trucks, cutting materials for projects and other tasks determined by the Production Supervisor Practice and participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives Perform all work in a safe manner in accordance to VME safety policies and procedures Actively promote and personally observe all company policies, employee handbook, safety and security procedures Comply with company work schedule, including but not limited to overtime, evenings
