In-Plant Store Quality Control Inspector - (Mobile, AL)

Position description: Perform visual and dimensional inspection operations on a wide variety of parts and simple assemblies for conformance to customer drawings and supplier's catalogs. Essential Job Functions Work from customer drawings, supplier catalogs and verbal and written instructions to visually and dimensionally inspect for compliance to specifications. Follow inspection procedures utilizing a variety of measuring equipment such as verier calipers, threads, thickness and applied finishes. Maintain equipment calibration. Maintain MANUFACTURING Certificates. QC reports per schedule. Make surface plate setup to check various detail part dimensions and use optical comparator. Prepare all necessary paperwork for processing the parts through inspection or obtain disposition when found to be non-conforming specifications. Substantiate all non-conformance parts and coordinate with Purchasing and Sales to return parts to suppliers. Notify customer representatives.
