Grant Writer - (Gretna, LA)
Min Requirements: Bachelor's (BA/BS) degree in a related position. Strong written and spoken communication, computer, and management expertise, and a min of 1 year full-time grant writing / fund development background. Applicant must have good verbal, written and interpersonal relations skills. Duties include: -- Monitor federal, state and local websites and other sources for funding opportunity announcements and inform program staff of relevant announcements; -- Lead prospect research strategies identifying private, public and corporate foundation opportunities, as well as assist in individual and major donor prospecting; -- Write and prepare all grants and grant related reports, ensuring that requirements are fully satisfied and all deadlines are met; -- Work together with the Executive Director to develop and manage relationships with foundation program officers and donor representatives; -- Maintain grant pipeline of current and future opportunities; -- In collaboration with the Executive Director
