CNC Programmer - (Arab, AL)

Job summary SUMMARY OF POSITION Responsible for the creation/maintenance of manufacturing processes and CNC programs utilizing CAD/CAM software. CRITICAL FUNCTIONS Expertise to create CNC programs for multiple types of CNC equipment using CAM systems Experience using multiple CAM systems for process development Proficient in advanced work holding techniques. Develop fixturing which consistently produces product to customer specifications. Collaborates with Engineering on the design and development of work holding for new projects or to improve existing fixtures. Thorough knowledge of GD&T. Advanced skills in cutting tool technology including: Tool geometry Speeds and feeds Cutter clearances Special tooling Able to create programs for CNC equipment that are safe and easily understood by the operator. Must be proficient in the use of CAM software packages with all basic machine tools (Mill, Lathe, Wire, and Plunge EDM). Must be able to skillfully use editing software to write CNC program.
