Wildlife Generalist - (Norfolk, VA)

A Wildlife Generalist is a volunteer that will be trained to carry out tasks associated with proper care of wildlife. We are an organization that rehabilitates native wildlife, primarily birds of prey, with the goal of returning them to the wild. We are state and federally permitted and follow stringent regulations to maintain those permits. Tasks associated with this position include: -Maintaining treatment area cleanliness -Preparing meals for the birds according to recipes,weights and measures. -Cleaning cages -Assisting with treatments to include holding birds if comfortable. -Transportation of birds between rehabber and vet or rehabber and release site. - Alerting us to condition concerns of enclosures
