Senior Underwriter-Workers' Compensation - (Granite Bay, CA)

Job Description Job summary: Under the direct supervision of the Director of Underwriting this position is responsible for applying underwriting principles through experience rating analysis and displaying proper underwriting judgment in the analyzing and rating of risk and servicing of the workers’ pay plan. Job assignments may also include the training and/or supervision of staff. This position serves as a subject matter expert for underwriting and rating of workers’ compensation. Specific Responsibilities: · Manage the underwriting and servicing of mid to large and complex healthcare organizations’ workers’ compensation exposure, both on direct and brokered accounts while maintaining positive working relationships with all internal and external customers. · Underwrite new business and renewals, including issuance of coverage contract, amendments and certificates of coverage for workers’ compensation, through experience rating and loss rating.
