Supplier Quality In-Plant Liaison - (Bluffton, IN)

Position summary We are a growth-oriented global engineering/consulting/manufacturing firm looking to fill an "independent contractor" position for a part time In-Plant supplier quality liaison. Required of Applicant: Applicant to provide "in-plant" liaison support for automotive products (cast and machined components). Applicant will be responsible to make as-needed plant visits and communicate with plant personnel (management, engineering, manufacturing, quality and logistics). Total work hours per week is estimated at 15-20 hours per week. Potential for more hours in the future. This is an independant contractor position. Qualifications: · Technical and/or Manufacturing Knowledge of automotive products (degree is not required) · Casting and machining knowledge is required (expertise to read drawings and have background with machining processes) · Applicant must have a min of five years OEM / Tier one background working with cast and machined products. Preferably machined aluminum castings.
