Position summary As a Material Expediter, your essential job functions will include the following: · Provide support to the Materials Manager regarding material qualifications for their assigned projects. Reading customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped. · Review all customer work packages to determine “Routine” material qualifications. · Perform a daily review of the Open Material Report for material qualifications impacting the aircraft schedule ensuring parts are pushed through the receiving process in a timely manner. Compare MTX parts board matches part requirement report, research any discrepancies · Check current stock items to reduce the number of Purchase Orders generated against the work order and expedite delivery on the material to the job. · Provide Technical Support to the Purchasing Department to resolve part identification problems that would prevent procurement.
