Purchasing Agent (2 yrs experience) - (Mooresville, NC)

Job details Title: Purchasing Agent Job Purpose: To plan and carry out the purchasing of inventory parts to meet the quality, cost and delivery qualifications of both internal and external customers. Essential responsibilities: · Utilize MRP to generate Purchase Orders to meet production schedules. · Maintain relationships with current vendors · Source potential new vendors. · Identify and expedite parts needed to meet manufacturing and customer’s schedules. · Assist in establishing inventory levels for stocked parts. Position qualifications · Proficient with Microsoft office Suite (Experience with MS Great Plains a plus) · Excellent communication expertise, both written and verbal. · Expertise to multi-task · Good management expertise. · Experience in reading part drawings preferred. · Education/Experience: min of 2yrs’ experience in purchasing field preferred. (Experience with purchasing machined items a plus) Experience investigation and pre-employment drug screen required.
