Fixed Asset Accountant - (Ghent, KY)

GENERAL POSITION OVERVIEW: This position is responsible for fixed asset accounting, review and analysis of construction in progress, related tax filings and other related miscellaneous functions for all North American Stainless group companies. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Prepares and assists in tax filings for all NAS companies, (partnership and corporation) to ensure compliance in KY Recycling Credit areas of taxation and other related tax incentive filings. Researches tax issues, as necessary, general accounting areas to ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws as well as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Consults with NAS's external auditor, external tax advisors and NAS's attorney as necessary. Consults with Nas's engineers and managers regarding Capital project status and info regarding projects and capital expenditures.
