Staff Auditor - (Corpus Christi, TX)

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION Assist with independently assessing the credit union's compliance with laws, regulations, and/or internal policy/procedures. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Maintain knowledge of credit union systems, procedures, and regulatory qualifications to facilitate audit and compliance duties. Assist in the development of the Annual Audit Plan. Researching and applying the applicability of standards and/or regulatory qualifications to the Credit Union. Independently and efficiently execute procedures that test the Credit Union's compliance with laws, regulations and/or internal policy/procedures governing operations. Judging whether info is sufficient, supportive for opinion/conclusion, and linking evidence to valid conclusions. Concisely and effectively communicate results to management; working with managers to develop action plans for deficiencies and/or recommendations noted from internal, external audits and regulatory examinations.
