Maintenance Assistant - (Aberdeen, SD)

Day Shift MOST IMPORTANT ROLE: Assisting the Property Maintenance Technician with building maintenance where needed. Duties may include painting, general cleaning, snow removal, mowing and carpentry. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITY: * Perform work as defined by the Executive Director. * Attend any in-service educational programs recommended by the Executive Director. * Provide a safe, clean and comfortable environment for the residents * Follow defined safety codes while performing all duties. * Understand facility fire and disaster plans and follow established procedures during fire drills and actual emergencies. * Perform any other duties or special assignments as directed by the Executive Director. * Assist in repairing and maintaining vacated rooms which includes: painting, carpet cleaning, walls, doors, woodworking, plumbing and electrical work.
