Production Manager - Chemicals - (Freeport, TX)

Position overview Min Qualifications: B.S. Chemical Engineering, Science or Business degree with 7yrs' of post-college background out of a PSM-regulated chemical production facility, along with 2 yr of background supervising twenty operators. The applicant must possess promotable qualities since this position offers the potential for growth within the company at large. Position summary: Our client is an expanding, international specialty chemical manufacturing company with multiple production facilities across the US and overseas. They produce a variety of batch and continuous specialty chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food additives, and resins. At this medium-sized chemical plant that runs 24/7, they produce batch specialty chemicals using a batch reaction process, drying and distillation, using a DCS control system. This position reports directly to the Production Superintendent and will be responsible for supervising 30 hourly personnel, with eight to 10 operators per shift and will require no weekend work.
