job description: Randstad Professionals is currently seeking a strong Staff Accountant for a outstanding company located in Richmond, VA. location: Glen Allen, Virginia position category: Contract work hours: eight to 5 education: Bachelor's degree background: 1yrs responsibilities: The Staff Accountant will be responsible for the accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP accounting. This will include the monthly financial close process, recording of journal entries, explanations of results as compared to the forecast, and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations. Assignments include but are not limited to: Playing an integral role in the month-end close process through preparing, analyzing and reviewing assigned general ledger account reconciliations, journal entries and other analysis to support the consolidated financial statements.
