Welder/Set Up - (Batavia, NY)

Position overview Remedy Intelligent Staffing is seeking experienced applicants to fill several Welder/Set Up positions for a large manufacturing company, located in Batavia, NY. Pay level: Depending on background second Shift: Monday-Friday 3:00PM - 11:30PM Welding Duties: Working from drawings, specifications, manuals, codes, etc., sets up welding equipment and obtains electrodes and other necessary equipment for specified job or subassembly. Investigates special welding instructions to conform to Quality Assurance qualifications. Slag work; examines weld for size of bead, penetration and quality continuous code welding and testing. Visually examines completed weld for size of bead, penetration and quality. Strong backs, complicated standard or special structures and weldments involving a number of parts and information, using clamp, tack weld, jigs, fixtures, and turning rigs. In preparation of surfaces to be welded, will use a variety of tools such as grinder, chippers and arc gouging equipment.
