Youth Worker I (A-Shift) - Social Worker - (Richmond, TX)

Job Information Description DePelchin is seeking an individual with great people skills to work the B Shift from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday in a residential treatment environment. The Youth Worker, under the direct supervision of the Shift Supervisor, is responsible for the safety and well-being of the children and youth assigned to their care including, the coordination and implementation of the interventions and activities designed to promote growth and a stable environment as they move toward permanent placement, and ensure the needs of children and youth in care are being met in accordance with State and Agency policy and procedure. Travel Required Yes. Drive center vehicle. Requirements Skills Behaviors Motivations Education Required High-school or better. Background Required Min 1 year of background in a therapeutic residential setting. Knowledge of crisis behavior management, child development and counseling.
