Job summary Department: Early Childhood Education Center Reports to: Director FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Summary: To assist with creating a quality program and a class environment conducive to learning and personal growth; to establish effective rapport with students; to establish good relationships with parents and other staff members; to contribute to the teaching team on implementation of the curriculum. Essential duties and responsibilities: Promote and support children’s social, emotional and physical development consistent with the philosophy of Head Start. Work in collaboration with classroom staff. Assist with the implementation of the lesson plan and daily activities both indoors and outdoors. Expertise to balance and prioritize workload. Effective time organizational skills. Establish a quality early childhood learning environment, with attention to standards of health, safety, and organization and maintain the policies and procedures of the program.
