Design Editor Job DescriptionThe design editor is the liaison between the creative team andthe editor in chief. In this role, you must be a self-starter and askilled collaborator. The design editor will develop our approachto visual storytelling, working closely with editors, reporters andphotographers to shape our biggest projects. You are alsoresponsible for ensuring that we have the resources necessary tomeet deadlines. That includes custom publications and materials forPuget Sound Business Journal events. You will attend departmentmanager meetings to discuss production planning as it relates toeditorial, events and sales. Across all platforms, your work willmaintain our high standards for visuals with a keen eye for detailspertaining to accuracy, presentation, photography, typography andgraphics.DutiesThe design editor's duties include: Oversees design of weekly paper, digital assets and PSBJ brandingmaterials. In consultation with editor in chief, edits and designs specialreports.
