Deputy Managing Editor, Digital News - (San Francisco, CA)

The Deputy Managing Editor, Digital News is responsible for news produced by the KQED newsroom for KQED’s digital platforms: web, mobile and social. In a nutshell, this person shapes the identity of KQED.org/news and many other platforms on-line. On a day-to-day basis, the deputy digital managing editor of digital news supervises KQED's digital staff, in both daily news reporting and long term feature reporting, as well as coordinates the broader news reporting and editing staff to oversee news-gathering efforts to provide timely, high quality news and feature coverage. Besides assigning and framing digital teammates, this person is empowered to ask and require of other newsroom staff to file and think about digital story framing, structure and storytelling.
