Childwatch Attendant/ Child Care/ St. Charles/ Part Time - (St Peters, MO)

PURPOSE OF POSITION To maintain an environment that insures children's safety. Plan and care for the needs of each child. Ensure the individual needs of each child are met with dignity and respect. All safety procedures are followed according to YMCA policies and procedures. To exemplify the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility, and faith. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Activities - Implement developmentally appropriate activities that focus on each child's individual needs. Ensure activities, materials and toys are age appropriate. Physical Environment - A sufficient quantity of materials and equipment is provided for the number of children enrolled. Materials and toys are kept in good repair. Broken or missing equipment is reported to the Nursery Coordinator Staff and Child Interaction - Interact frequently with the children individually and in small groups. Staff seeks meaningful conversations with the children, acknowledging their work, talking about event of importance, etc.
