Position details As purchasing / Payables clerk you will be responsible for sourcing parts, managing vendors and inventory levels. The Purchasing and Payables Clerk is an hourly position responsible for sourcing, purchasing and monitoring inventory items utilizing the QuickBooks system. The clerk also works closely with the Operations Manager and Shipping and Receiving Clerk to ensure proper inventory levels. Additionally, this position matches P.O.s, receivers and invoices to prepare for payment in the QuickBooks system. Reports To: President & CEO Responsibilities (Summary) · Meets daily with the Operations Manager and Shipping and Receiving Department to determine daily purchases required. · Generates P.O. on QuickBooks and orders product from the appropriate vendor. · Tracks outstanding P.O.’s to ensure timely delivery. · Matches P.O., shipping document and invoice and enters into QuickBooks to prepare for payment. · Follows up on outstanding shipping documents that haven’t been matched with P.O.
