The Lead Direct Support Professional position is responsible to assist the Program Director with the coordination of services to the individuals served, including finances, medical, recreation, program services, family contact/involvement, education, health, household management, and completing paperwork, among others. This position also assists the Program Director in maintaining consistency in program implementation, individual care, and communication with staff and interdisciplinary teammates. The Lead Direct Support Professional also carries out the duties of a regular Direct Support Professional.
