Director of Engineering - (Sparks, NV)

The Director of Engineering reports to the VP of Engineering or Corporate VP depending on the size of the business area. The Director of Engineering is responsible for providing technical leadership, guidance and oversight in all phases of the integrated product development process from the early phases of business development through design and implementation to sell-off, deployment & support in accordance with SNC’s Technical Management and Planning/Tracking (TMAP/T). Business Area Chief Engineers support the Director of Engineering and provide a unified technology conduit to each Program Organization. PRIMARY ASSIGNMENTS INCLUDE: Review and approve the Engineering Program Plan (EPP), including definition of system architectures, all Basis of Estimates (BOEs) with labor and material estimates prior to proposal submittal Review Business Unit risk/opportunity baselines prior to submitting the proposal for approvals Expertise to understand, organize, plan
