The City of Florissant is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer The primary duties and responsibilities of a Police Officer include the prevention and suppression of crime, the investigation of offenses and the arrest of offenders, the protection of life and property, and the preservation of the peace. Candidates must be a U.S. citizen; must be POST licensed (Police Academy graduate); and, have either a high-school degree or G.E.D. Associates Degree or a min of 64 hours of college credit is preferred. Candidates must pass the written, oral, physical agility, experience check, polygraph, psychological, pre-employment physical and drug screen exams. Starting pay without experience $24.16 hourly.
