Safe and Healthy Communities Facilitator - (York, PA)
DESCRIPTION Come join our team and reap the benefits of of sharing your knowledge with members of our community. To deliver child sexual abuse prevention education to York County elementary schools and community partners in order to increase awareness of child sexual abuse and the services of the Victim Assistance Center program and ACCESS-York, YWCA York. This is a three year grant funded position in furtherance of a county-wide prevention effort. Therefore, the Safe and Healthy Communities Facilitator will interact closely with York County personnel. There are 2 positions available. The hours will typically be from 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. DUTIES Facilitate Safe Touches, a child sexual abuse prevention workshop to York County elementary schools. Safe Touches: Personal Safety Training for Children is an evidence-based program focused teaching second grade children the difference between safe and not-safe touches as well as whom to tell if they have experienced a not-safe touch.
