The focus is on management concepts, processes, and theoretical content considered necessary for persons who intend to practice in a health care management position. Emphasis is placed on the differences in management of health care from other commodities and the importance of patient care and ethical issues. Tradeoffs between patient care issues and financial accountability are addressed.
