Description Slidell, La based Insurance MGA/Wholesale Insurance Brokerage firm with offices in LA, TX, and FL has an immediate opportunity for experienced Multi-line Underwriters & Brokers. We are looking for Underwriter/Brokers in our Slidell, La office. We will consider remote opportunities to the right candidates who are qualified as an option, or for a person in a state where we are licensed. (AL, FL, GA, LA, MS, OK, TX) Responsibilities •Underwrite new and renewal business for insurance company partners under general direction •Oversee the evaluation, classification, and rating of risk to determine acceptability, coverage, and pricing •Implement underwriting policies under the direction of the Management and ensure compliance with these policies •Monitor critical areas, such as loss ratio, costs, retention ratio and new business hit ratio, formulating corrective action where necessary •Participate in national and local advertising, telemarketing and agency visits/sales calls to our cu
